Strategic Bid Manager - £60,000-£65,000 + Benefits

We are seeking a Strategic Bid Manager to oversee and deliver complex, high-value proposal submissions across critical infrastructure and maintenance projects throughout the UK.
This position offers a salary of £60,000 to £65,000, along with a vehicle allowance (including electric and hybrid options), and a full suite of employee benefits.
You'll be joining a team with a strong reputation for delivering essential public services while working in a people-first, safety-led environment.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will take the lead on major bid submissions, ensuring both commercial and written elements are delivered to the highest standard. Responsibilities include:
·Managing the full lifecycle of strategic bids, including timelines and team inputs
·Drafting, editing and refining persuasive proposal content
·Coordinating input from technical, commercial, and operational teams
·Leading the planning and execution of client-facing presentations
·Mentoring and overseeing a team of writers and contributors
·Identifying opportunities to apply lessons learned across projects
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in delivering large infrastructure bids, as well as the ability to manage cross-functional teams and tight deadlines. Key requirements:
·Strong MS Word proficiency and general IT skills
·Minimum 5 years' experience on multi-million-pound proposals in construction or infrastructure
·Excellent written communication, editorial, and research skills
·Proven ability to manage and deliver complex, multi-stakeholder bids
·Experience in mentoring or line-managing team members
·Project or Programme Management qualification (or equivalent experience) is a plus
