AutoCAD Technician
Meridian are working with a well-established MEP and Building Services company based in Yorkshire, that are growing their team after many successful years. Specialising in full M&E fit-outs, you will predominantly be involved with working in the design team on commercial MEP contracts. Previous projects have includes schools, warehouses, care homes, apartments, offices, and health centres. If you are a proficient in AutoCAD, and looking for a hands-on role with a growing company in the Bradford and Leeds area, then this role is perfect for you!

Working in a team under experienced MEP managers and experienced CAD Managers

Company hiring immediately (subject to successful application process)Requirements for this role:
Experience in MEP projects and with Building Services (e.g HVAC systems, solar panels, Electrical and Mechanical installations)
Proficiency with design software such AutoCAD, combined with a full understanding of the MEP design process
Have excellent communication skills, allowing for easy communication between the supply chains, clients and internal team members
Proficiency with computer skills
Have a thorough understanding of commercial MEP projects, including terminology, layouts, problem-solving sills etc.Duties will include:
Be able to design accurate 2D CAD drawings using data from site templates, drawings and models
Work closely with other designers, managers, and the rest of the design and production team to ensure designs are accurate and practical for MEP installation, whilst remaining cost-effective and suiting the client's needs
Be able to produce full, and accurate designs that can then be used as a template for manufacturing and as a guide for the supply chain
Communicate effectively with customer's directly, as well as on-site managers and engineers to adapt and improve designs accordingly
