An independent fire and building safety consultancy is seeking a highly capable Associate Fire Engineer to lead and expand their fire engineering function in Manchester.
The successful Associate Fire Engineer will join a respected and collaborative firm, delivering expert solutions across commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments, while supporting clients through design, construction, and compliance stages.
The Associate Fire Engineer's Role The Associate Fire Engineer will lead the delivery of complex fire engineering strategies and provide high-level technical input into building design, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Operating across RIBA stages 2-6, the role will include:
Managing a portfolio of large-scale projects across the North West and beyond
Leading fire strategy development and sign-off processes
Providing oversight on CFD modelling, evacuation analysis, and smoke control
Supporting client relationships and new business activity
Mentoring and reviewing work from junior and mid-level engineers
Engaging with Building Control, fire services, and design teams
The Associate Fire Engineer Chartered or near-chartered (CEng or MIFireE) Fire Engineer
Minimum 6 years' consultancy experience
