About the Role:
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you’ll support the commercial team across a wide range of projects, gaining hands-on experience in both traditional construction and specialist restoration. You’ll be involved in procurement, cost management, valuations, and assisting with the preparation of contracts—while learning how to manage the unique commercial aspects of heritage and high-end projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of tender documents and cost plans.
* Support procurement and cost control of materials and subcontractors.
* Help manage valuations, variations, and applications for payment.
* Collaborate with project teams, site staff, and external consultants.
* Support monthly cost reporting and maintain accurate records.
* Gain exposure to both modern and traditional construction methods.

* Strong numerical and organisational skills.

* Willingness to learn and take initiative.
Requirements:
* Degree (or studying towards) in Quantity Surveying or related construction field.
* Previous industry experience (placement or post-graduate) preferred but not essential.
* Interest in heritage, restoration, or high-end residential projects.
* Competent with Microsoft Excel and QS software tools.
* Right to work in the UK and willingness to travel to London-based sites.
