The Role

As an Assistant Planner, you will support senior team members across a wide range of planning activities. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and work on diverse projects while developing your expertise in the planning profession.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals
Assisting with planning potential and viability appraisals
Contributing to S106 and affordable housing negotiations
Supporting the delivery of CIL assessments and pre-application advice
Engaging in site promotion and planning policy representations
Assisting with public consultation and stakeholder engagement activities

About You

We're looking for a proactive and motivated graduate who is keen to begin or develop their career in town planning.

Essential:

An RTPI-accredited degree in Town Planning or a related discipline
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A collaborative attitude and the ability to work independently when required
Good organisational skills and attention to detailDesirable:

Previous experience in a planning-related role (e.g., through internships or placements)
