The company
Our client is a leading highly reputable super-prime residential contractor who works on some of the most prestigious Luxury Hotel, Residential, and Museum projects across the UK. Most of their project pipeline are high-end refurbishment projects and they have already secured £10m worth of work over the next 12 months.
Our client builds some of the most beautiful developments in the UK which mostly consist of Hotel, Residential, and Museum projects. The locations are mainly based within Greater London however, some projects will be international.

Due to continued growth, our client is now looking to bring in an Assistant or Intermediate level Quantity Surveyor to be a key part of the commercial team, reporting directly to the Commercial Director and Managing Director. This is a key role for the business as they are looking for an individual who aspires to be the key figurehead within the commercial team for the whole business.
It is essential that the Assistant/Intermediate Quantity Surveyor has relevant experience within Luxury Fit-Out developments. The role would also suit an Estimator who feels it’s the right time for them to assume a more senior position.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

The role of the Assistant/Intermediate Quantity Surveyor
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assistant to Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager, but also running your own smaller projects
- Regular travel to sites
- Calculate all the prime costs on developments within the business.
- Deal with valuations & payment notices
- Provide a detailed cost budget plan and share with the site tea,
- Maintain schedules of quantities and price them for the prime cost budget.
- Prepare estimates of all costs including sub-contractors & materials.
- 2+ years’ experience working with a Main Contractor or Specialist Fit-out Contractor
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or in the process of completing it
