Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the sales ledger and monthly billing
- Handling front-to-back credit control, including chasing and allocating cash
- Supporting purchase ledger activities such as proposing payments, conducting supplier reconciliations, and liaising with clients
- Assisting with payroll for over 40 employees and subcontractors
- Supporting month-end activities and management accounts production
- Conducting bank reconciliations
- Implementing process improvements
What you will need:- Previous experience in a similar role, such as Assistant Management Accountant / Assistant Accountant / Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant / Payroll Clerk / Purchase Ledger Clerk / Sales Ledger Clerk
- Experience with purchase and sales ledgers
- Intermediate Excel skills
- AAT qualifications are advantageous but we value practical experience and a willingness to learn and grow within the role
- Confidence to address issues and communicate with stakeholders
