The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms. br The role br As an Area Health and Safety Lead you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. br Day-to-day, you’ll:Act as the first point of contact for the H&S Advisors br Escalate issues that cannot be resolved or requires further support to the H&S / Discipline Leads. br Oversee the HSE advisors K.P. I’s and Support HSE Area Lead within accident/investigations.. br Record the findings of audit reports and inspections in line with the HSSE Management system requirements. br Build relationships with other Tier 1’s and the Principal Contractor br Monitor the working practices of MEH employees and contractors regarding health and safety, environment and welfare. br This role is full time and is based onsite at Hinkley Point C br Essential experience of the Area Health and Safety Lead br Significant, relevant construction experience br Excellent written and spoken communication skills to explain HSE procedures and expectations to a range of people. br Working knowledge of the Health and Safety regulations. br Qualifications for the Area Health and Safety Lead br NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent br Security Clearance br The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
