I am currently working wioth an FE College in Preston who are looking for an Arboriculture Lecturer to join them on a Full Time Permanent Basis.
This role would be suitable for a qualified Lecturer or an Arborist with extensive inudustry experience.

Core Role Responsibilities

*

Deliver high-quality, inspirational teaching, learning, and assessment in Arboriculture.

*

Manage and support learners to help them achieve their full potential.

*

Develop detailed schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment strategies.

*

Maintain quality assurance standards and comply with internal and external requirements.

*

Provide information, advice, and guidance to students and prospective learners.

*

Promote employability, sustainability, and inclusive teaching practices.

*

Engage in continuing professional development (CPD).

*

Participate in course administration, meetings, open events, and promotional activities.

Essential Requirements

*

Level 3 qualification in Arboriculture (including relevant industry NPTCs).

*

Level 2 English and Maths (or willingness to obtain).

*

Teaching qualification (or willingness to undertake).

*

Industry experience in Arboriculture.

*

Strong communication skills and ability to motivate learners.

*

ICT competence and adaptability.

*

Understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and equality (FREDIE).

*

Willingness to travel and work flexibly, including evenings/weekends.

*

Enhanced DBS check required.

Desirable Attributes

*

Teaching experience and/or coaching experience.

*

Involvement in course development or CPD delivery.

*

External verification or examiner experience.

*

Strong interest in Arboriculture and ongoing professional development.

*

Salary: £25,082 - £33,922 per annum (higher if teaching qualified).

*

Hours: 37 hours per week.

*

Leave: 40 days plus bank holidays.

*

Pension: Teachers’ Pension Scheme.

*

Probation: 9 months for new employees.

*

DBS: Enhanced level required (employee pays for this)
