We’re hiring for an Accounts Assistant to join the finance team at one of the UK’s most recognised food manufacturers at their Bury site.

What will you be doing as an Accounts Assistant?
* Managing the purchase ledger, processing invoices, credit notes, and reconciling supplier statements
* Handling petty cash and bank transactions, including daily postings and monthly reconciliations
* Overseeing invoice finance transactions, notifications, and month-end reconciliations
* Allocating payments on the sales ledger and resolving customer account queries
* Supporting credit control activities including setting up accounts and checking credit information
* Processing depot and retailer reconciliations through online portals
* Preparing payment runs in line with cash flow requirements
* Assisting with management accounts and cross-functional support with the sales and dispatch teams
* Maintaining and improving invoice filing systems and account records
What do you need?
* The ability to read and work from engineering drawing
* Proven TIG welding experience
* Familiarity working with stainless steel materials
* Previous experience in a similar sheet metal or fabrication role
