About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our growing finance team within a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone confident with numbers, passionate about accuracy, and ready to take ownership of supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage the purchase ledger: post invoices, reconcile supplier statements, and prepare payment runs

* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers

* Negotiate trade terms to achieve best value and favourable payment conditions

* Collaborate with production teams to resolve supplier issues and support seamless operations

* Assist with month-end finance tasks and support the wider finance team as needed

* Respond promptly to invoice discrepancies and supplier queries

* Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with internal financial procedures

Key Skills & Experience

* Experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role (manufacturing experience is a plus)

* Strong communication and negotiation abilities

* Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage 50) and Microsoft Excel

* Team-oriented with a proactive, can-do attitude
