Accountant / Bookkeeper – Greater Manchester (Practice-Based) Full-time or Part-time | £25,000 – £28,000 DOE | Flexible Hours | On-site Parking
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established, Accountancy Practice based in Bolton, Greater Manchester. This friendly and professional firm is seeking an experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper to join their growing team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous practice experience who is confident managing a varied portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate will be able to produce accounts up to trial balance and have hands-on experience using Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage .
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping for a portfolio of approx. 30 clients using Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
Keeping client records accurate and up to date (both digital and paper-based)
Preparing and submitting monthly and quarterly VAT returns
Processing weekly/monthly payroll and CIS returns
Preparing annual accounts up to trial balance
Producing management accounts where required
Maintaining regular contact with clients and sending reminders to ensure timely submissions
Occasionally visiting clients on-site within the Northwest region
