Abattoir Operative

We are currently seeking hardworking and dedicated individuals to join our team as Abattoir Operatives, to work in Hortonwood, Telford, in Shropshire.
As an Abattoir Operative you will play a vital role in the processing of meat products, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards throughout the production process.Working from 7am, Monday to Friday, this role requires flexibility and a willingness to work additional hours when required to meet customer demand in the preparation of a fresh product.
Our ideal Abattoir Operative will be a reliable team player with excellent attention to detail, who is keen to learn and develop new skills.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Working in an active slaughterhouse with the use of knives and other equipment
Carry out all activities and roles within the abattoir in line with individual training matrix including rodding, legging , flanking etc.
Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production targets and meet customer demand.
Undertaking manual handling tasks, using equipment or machinery when required
Ensure strict adherence to quality, HSE, animal welfare, food safety, hygiene, ethical, product labelling and handling processes.
