Position: 2nd Line Support Engineer
Location: Leeds, On-site (UK-based)
Salary: £26,000 - £32,000

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced and motivated 2nd Line IT Service Desk Technician to join a fast-growing and award-winning provider of IT and communications services. This is a full-time, on-site role offering excellent progression prospects and a range of employee benefits.

This position would suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, delivering excellent customer service, and working as part of a close-knit technical support team. Key Responsibilities:

Provide second-line support via phone, email, and remote tools
Take ownership of support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
Escalate complex issues when necessary and follow through to resolution
Collaborate with 1st Line Technicians and assist in their technical development
Assist in system changes, software installations, and user account management
Monitor systems proactively to prevent potential issues
Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to the internal knowledge base
Support project work including migrations and infrastructure upgradesRequired Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in a 2nd Line IT support role
Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Active Directory
Proficiency in Office 365, Azure AD, Intune, SharePoint, OneDrive
Understanding of networking principles - VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
Familiarity with RDP, Hyper-V, endpoint protection, and backup solutions
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
Relevant Microsoft certifications (MS-900, AZ-900, SC-900) are advantageousWhat's on Offer:
