Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Senior Authorised Person (132kv) on a permanent basis, located across the Midlands and North of England.
Job Purpose:
We seek an experienced, talented, and focused HV ‘Senior Authorised Person’ to join our dynamic ICP team currently specialising in the design, construction, and commissioning of high-voltage electrical infrastructure up to 132kV.
Job Context:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) at 132kV to lead, manage, and oversee high-voltage works across our electrical infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will ensure the safe execution of HV switching, commissioning, and energization activities.
Key Accountabilities:
* Act as SAP on HV networks up to and including 132kV under the company’s safety rules.
* Prepare, review, and issue switching schedules, safety documents, and risk assessments.
* Lead and manage HV switching operations, isolations, and commissioning activities.
* Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
* Support training and mentoring of junior engineers and APs.
* Assist in the development of operational policies and project-specific procedures.
* Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of HV incidents, outages, and energizations.
Experience:
* Strong SAP experience in a similar environment
* Experience working on HV networks up to 132kv preferred
* Experience with testing and commissioning of HV/LV systems
* Experience working with DNO’s preferred
* Relevant qualifications/certificates
