Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of logistics, shipping, and materials handling. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient management of warehouse activities, including team management and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards.


• Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of goods.


• Oversee materials handling, including inventory management and stock control.


• Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to optimise supply chain operations.


• Lead and train warehouse staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.


• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to maintain operational efficiency.


• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to warehouse management systems.


• Perform heavy lifting as required and assist in the movement of goods within the warehouse.


• Utilise forklift equipment safely for loading and unloading materials.


• Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.

Requirements

• Proven experience in logistics or warehouse management is essential.


• Strong background in shipping and receiving processes.


• Familiarity with materials handling techniques and best practices.


• Experience with third-party logistics (3PL) is advantageous.


• Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.


• Capability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with warehouse operations.


• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS).


• Valid forklift certification is preferred but not mandatory; training may be provided.


• Mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues.
