Warehouse Supervisor Warehouse - Warehouse - Day Shift Contract: Full Time Salary: £35,000-38,000 Contracted Hours: 45 Established in 1997 as the first manufacturer of sushi for the UK supermarket industry, Taiko has evolved into the most innovative manufacturer of Sushi, Food To Go, Prepared Meals and Snacking products in the UK, supplying Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsbury’s to name a few. Over the past 25 years Taiko has launched more first to market Sushi and Food to Go products than any other sushi manufacturer in the UK. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all warehouse operations to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of products. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can lead a team, maintain high standards of safety and accuracy, and optimize warehouse processes. • Manage the Warehouse staff including making sure that duties are completed on time and make sure no errors are caused by your team.• Be responsible for all operations within the Warehouse including staff training and staff absences• Make sure that all staff have adequate training for the roles they are being asked to perform and provide them with the necessary equipment for them to do so.• Ensure that all tasks are completed daily and that reports are made to the relevant departments at the end of each shift.• Be responsible for the quality of products transferred to production, should you find any products that are not up to the quality required by Taiko standards, they must NOT be transferred to the production and the Manager informed.• Check that the materials, packaging and labels picked by the warehouse team are correct and the quantities are correct according to the planner. Transferring the incorrect quantities have a very detrimental effect on the efficiency of Production.• To instruct and supervise the Warehouse team.• Report errors in picking or stock shortages in a timely manner• Pick and deliver the correct materials in the correct volume in the additional orders from the production.• Report to Purchasing and Warehouse Manager any problems concerning the Warehouse.• Assist in arranging stock transfer from third party warehouses in Purchasing and Warehouse Manager’s absence• Ensure that the Warehouse team follow all the company rules and procedures• Ensure that warehouse, picking room, vegetable chiller and fish freezer are kept tidy at all times• Make sure that the goods-in procedure is observed when the warehouse team receive any goods into the warehouse• To make the best effort to reduce the overtime in the Warehouse team by assisting Purchasing and Warehouse Manager in arranging job duties efficiently.• To conduct re-training to individual staff who is not following correct procedures including Navision & Traceability if requested by Purchasing and Warehouse Manager• Monitor traceability through Navision and ensure the Warehouse team is following the correct procedure• Check the invoices and daily recording for the approval by Purchasing and Warehouse Manager’s absence• Assist in Weekly and Monthly Stocktaking as the audit and compare the figures in Navision/Its investigations to any discrepancies,• Ensure that all the Warehouse paperwork is completed accurately.• Assist the other team if requested by the management• Conduct the daily check of forklif
