I have a fantastic opportunity for a COMMITTED waking night support worker to join a well-established, non-profit service within Syston, Leicester with a great reputation!

You need to be happy to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. It is challenging, but gratifying work!!

Your role would be to support young people aged between 8-18 during the night with emotional, behavioural, social, and mental health challenges, in an environment where they feel safe and cared for.

Job Title: Waking Night Support Worker

Salary: £27,366 - £28,976 (including sleeps)

Location: Syston, Leicester (LE7 postcode)

Contract: Permanent / Full-time

Hours: 37 hours a week

Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off

**Due to the nature of the job and the activities involved, we are only able to consider applicants who have a full driver's licence**

Responsibilities:

• To keep the homely, friendly culture and environment of the homes.
• To be able to deal with challenging behaviours when needed.
• Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
• Provide support for the children and young people in the home and promote their independence and well-being.
• Maintain a safe environment for the young people.
• Ensuring the safety of the students and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the individual's; care plan, guidelines, reward system and preferred method of communication.
• Supporting taxing behaviour safely and sympathetically.

Requirements:

• Experience as a children's support worker, or with young people is desirable but not essential.
• Experience within another healthcare or social care setting is desirable but not essential.
• You must be over the age of 21.
• You must be able to commute to Syston, have access to your own vehicle and have business insurance.
