Tug / HGV Driver

Working onsitein the Southampton Port we are recruiting for Tug Driver roles for this busy cargo handling operation. This is a great opportunity with flexible hours.

Shift pattern / Working hours

(Up to) 12-hour shifts, Days + Nights available dependent on vessel traffic.

Shifts starts are usually 06:00 for days and 18:00 for nights.

Job Type: Zero hours contract

Job description

� As a Tug Driver you will be involved in the movement of cargo around the port of global freight in containers in the busy terminal

� Adhering at all times to clear safety and quality standards to ensure shifts are conducted safely and effectively

The successful candidate:

� Will be flexible to work across days and or nights depending on vessel times

� Committed, team player with a keen eye for safety.

� Reliable, with good timekeeping.

� HGV Licence

� A full UK HGV 1 Driving Licence is required for this role

� Some previous experience as an Tug Driver or other similar roles would be advantageous

Experience:

• Tug driving: 1 year (preferred)
• HGV (Class 1): 1 year (required)

Licence / Certification:

• Full UK Driving License and HGV Class 1 (required)
