DescriptionAbout this roleThe mission of the Finance Platform Strategies (FPS) team is to ensure consistent operating models within Finance, across our global functional teams as appropriate. We promote this objective by connecting key resources across Finance, and greater BlackRock, to identify and document Finance business requirements and manage the implementation and maintenance of platforms and processes to address those requirements. FPS team members serve as internal change management consultants who apply knowledge of BlackRock’s resources - people, processes and technology - to ensure concepts become reality in support of both new initiatives and ongoing business process enhancement.Team OverviewThe FPS team has a global footprint. Team members have responsibility for managing projects that drive Finance objectives forward. Team members may work on initiatives that focus on regional objectives as well as global Finance objectives. They are responsible for coordinating project team activity and supporting effective and timely communication among project team members and subject matter expert contributors across the firm, drafting clear and comprehensive business requirements documentation, designing sound processes and workflow models, partnering with internal or third party technology resources on design specification sign-off and overseeing development progress, providing regular updates to all project stakeholders, facilitating user training services and, ensuring timely delivery of effective, well designed solutions.In addition to project oversight, the team works to manage, on an ongoing basis, the various platforms supporting the Finance operating models to ensure our technologies remain optimized and our operational processes are sustainable, efficient and support a robust control environment. The team provides level one support for Finance operational platforms and as required, will assess/trouble-shoot and identify actionable opportunities to address complex issues related to the suite of technology solutions Finance employs including, Oracle SaaS, Oracle Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS), IBM Cognos TM1, IBM Cognos BI and, our proprietary BlackRock Aladdin platforms (Treasury Hedge Process and Treasury Workstation including SWIFT payments).Role Responsibility:Provide day to day user support across a variety of Finance cash applications, including Treasury Workstation, Treasury SWIFT payments and Treasury FX Hedge.Perform testing of system functionality as new versions are released, prior to engaging end users in acceptance testing.Create/update training guides and training videos, and conduct live user training sessionsActively participate in upgrades of Treasury FX Hedge, Treasury Workstation platforms and Treasury SWIFT payments.Work with BlackRock internal financial clients and external banks on issue resolution and enhancement requests.Liaise with various internal and external teams to confirm trade details and investigate failing trades and SWIFT paymentsWrite business requirements and update application & operational documentationContribute subject matter expertise to a diverse range of cash related projectsEnsure key executives and stakeholders are kept informed and engagedSupport Global Treasury:Critical Skills and Qualities:Minimum 3 years of experience supporting Treasury / Cash Management functions:Treasury Workstation activitiesSWIFT payment processResolving rejected payment issuesUnderstand SWIFT MX message formatsUnderstand FX hedgingUnderstand basic accounting and financial statementsGather business and technical requirements for various projectsLiaise with internal clients and external banks directlyExcellent verbal and written communication skillsResults driven, experienced problem solver who pays attention to detailSelf-starter able to drive positive progress proactively with limited manager direction#EarlyCareersOur benefitsTo help you stay energized, engaged and inspired, we offer a wide range of employee benefits including: retirement investment and tools designed to help you in building a sound financial future; access to education reimbursement; comprehensive resources to support your physical health and emotional well-being; family support programs; and Flexible Time Off (FTO) so you can relax, recharge and be there for the people you care about.Our hybrid work modelBlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all.
