What kind of Teaching Assistant are you looking to hire?
We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and professional individual, to begin a new classroom-based role. Your role as a teaching assistant will be to support the class teacher. You will also be required to assist students who require additional help within the classroom, by providing 1:1 support as well as group work. The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who can ideally work full-time, but part-time may be considered too.
This is an ongoing, long-term post with the possibility of a permanent contract for the right candidate.
Can you tell me more about the role?
The school in question aim to provide a secure environment where the individual needs of students are recognised and catered for. The school places a special emphasis on the individual progression of each child and offers a wide range of varied learning opportunities. Your role will involve the day-to-day running of small intervention groups and 1:1 sessions within the class, as well as working in line with other teaching assistants & class teachers, to ensure appropriate strategies are put in place.
Do I need any qualifications?
A relevant Level 3 qualification in Education would be preferred, but a Level 2 qualification may also be considered.
You will also need a full DBS check before you start the role. If you already have one, great! If you don’t, don’t worry – We can help with the process of acquiring a new one.
