SEND Teaching Assistant
Are you a passionate about making a difference for children with SEND and you are looking for your next role in the Nottingham area?
Tradewind Recruitment are working with a school who caters for pupils aged 5 - 16 who have varying SEND , including ASD and PMLD. The role is full time and for a least a term, often extending for the full academic year or longer.
The school is looking for a qualified Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic and can support a variety of curriculum activities but also be able to think on their feet and offer an alternative to classroom learning when needed. They specifically support and cater for the needs of children aged 5-16 with a post-16 provision. The school supports Autism, PMLD, SLD, MLD and Medical Needs. Their Mission is to empower students to be responsible, independent, and confident young people. They aim to provide an inclusive, personalised, stimulating curriculum which is enjoyable and accessible for all.
The school offers some great facilities that enhance children's learning, enabling them to thrive and flourish and become independent learners. There are many opportunities for outdoor learning, with trips to the park and local area.

Pay for these roles are from £75 per day. The hours are from 8:30am until 3:30pm.
With access to support from the rest of the teaching team the time spent in school will be an enjoyable one - this is somewhere that encourages learning through different experiences including outdoor learning, classroom learning, teamwork, and collaborative learning.
The school is looking for:
Experience of Autism, Complex Needs or Medical Needs with children or young adults which is essential
Manual Handling, Team Teach Training or Personal Care Training is desirable
Experience of working in a Care or Education environment is essential
A candidate who uses initiative and is willing to get involved as part of a team

Essential requirements:
A Teaching Assistant or Care qualification
Candidates must be able to provide legal right to work in the UK in order to apply for this role as well as a CV with a full 10 year work history and a fully enhanced DBS.
