Job Opportunity: Systems Engineering Applications Engineer
Company: a leading defence organisation
Location: Hertfordshire (Hybrid: 2-3 days on-site)
Salary: competitive (depending on experience)

Join our Systems Engineering and Design Capability (SE&DC) team to enhance model-based systems engineering (MBSE) processes and best practices across UK operations.

The Opportunity: Support projects using IBM’s Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) tools
and other systems engineering applications. Ensure reliability, security, and performance of the
toolset, and explore new capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
● Manage software versions and dependencies (Rhapsody, EWM Eclipse Client, DOORS
Classic)
● Coordinate with packaging teams and manage Windows 11 testing
● Monitor and rectify security vulnerabilities
● Support server upgrades and maintenance
● Manage ALM upgrade UAT campaigns
● Assist with ALM token management and user monitoring
● Support High Power Computing user support and admin tasks
● Manage and retire legacy applications
● Upgrade ALM Widgets, Add-ons, and digital continuity adapters

What our client is Looking For:
● Background in IT with experience in software application management, maintenance,
and security
● Practical use of IBM tools (Rhapsody, DOORS Classic, IBM ELM) is highly desirable
● Keen to enhance skills in Systems Engineering application management
● Passionate about exploring and utilising emerging technologies
● Degree in a relevant field and post-graduation experience is desirable but not essential
