Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of young adults with epilepsy and related conditions?

This School and College is the national charity dedicated to creating better futures for children and young adults with special educational needs. They're currently seeking compassionate and motivated Support Workers to join their team in Lingfield, providing exceptional care to young adults, empowering them to lead fulfilling and independent lives.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will:

  • Support young adults (aged 19-25) with autism, epilepsy, learning disabilities, and associated health needs, enabling them to achieve independence and personal goals.
  • Provide person-centred care, including assistance with daily living activities such as personal care, medication management, and meal preparation.
  • Encourage engagement in social, educational, and recreational activities, promoting personal growth and life skills development.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, educators, and families, ensuring holistic care.
  • Maintain accurate records of support activities, medication administration, and progress reports.

About You

  • Excellent communicators, able to build strong relationships with young adults, their families, and team members.
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a positive attitude towards challenging situations.
  • Committed to promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for young adults in your care.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in a similar care or support worker role is desirable but not essential - full training will be provided.
  • A genuine desire to support young adults with epilepsy and learning disabilities.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including shifts, evenings, weekends, and occasional sleep-ins.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
