Stores & Stock Control Assistant
A leading specialist equipment manufacturer require an experienced Stock Controller/Stores Person for their production facility. The primary focus for the role is to ensure a high level of inventory control both internally and throughout the company supply chain, to provide constant flow of components to manufacturing and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Entering details of all goods received onto the ERP system ensuring the items received match the purchase order, identifying and reporting discrepancies.
- Control of all stock parts from time of receipt through to distribution to stock, kits and works orders.
- Ensuring that all parts are adequately labelled, located, part numbered and logged.
- Picking kits of parts for manufacturing technicians
- Issue stock using ERP software.
- Perform stock checks as necessary to ensure stock counts match the ERP system.
- Packing parcels for despatch and ensuring shipping documentation is raised.
- Manual and mechanical handling of goods.
- General stores housekeeping and ensure the stores area is clean & tidy.
- Manual and mechanical handling of goods including forklift work as required.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous Stock Control and Stores/Warehouse experience
- MS office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Experience of ERP systems would be an advantage.
- High level of accuracy.
- Able to communicate and liaise effectively with people of all levels.
- Good English Language and Maths skills.
- A current counterbalance forklift truck licence would be an advantage but not essential
