Karter Thomas is proud to be working in partnership with a leading housing provider to recruit a Senior Subcontractor Coordinator to join their expanding Repairs Service Delivery Team.
This key role will lead on the coordination and management of all subcontractor-delivered work within the Responsive and Voids Repairs contract. It’s a fantastic opportunity for a confident and organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment and is passionate about driving service excellence across housing repairs.
The role is full time, office-based position and the salary would be between £38k and £39k.
The Role:
As Senior Subcontractor Coordinator, you will:
* Take ownership of identifying, liaising with, and managing specialist subcontractor partners.
* Monitor and analyse performance data to ensure a cost-effective and efficient end-to-end service.
* Maintain accurate job-related records through the internal IT management system.
* Work closely with stakeholders, team leaders, and administrators to ensure smooth service delivery aligned with KPIs.
* Implement structured monthly reviews covering SLAs, compliance, health & safety, and commercial aspects.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships across internal teams, clients, and subcontractor networks.
* Actively assess subcontractor needs to ensure full contract scope coverage.
* Support delivery of site inductions and compliance training alongside operational teams.
* Lead a subcontractor administration team and assist with managing Resource Schedulers as required.
* Act as the business lead for asbestos, scaffold, and fire risk assessment-accredited works.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience in subcontractor or service coordination within repairs, maintenance, or a related sector.
* Strong understanding of compliance, H&S, and performance monitoring processes.
* Proven ability to build effective relationships with subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
* Confident with data analysis and reporting, with a focus on performance improvement.
* Leadership experience in managing small teams is desirable
