Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable contractor delivering a �15m-per-year gas framework in Croydon. This freelance role offers hybrid working and a competitive day rate, providing an excellent opportunity to be part of a long-term, four-year project.

About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor

You will play a key role in the commercial management of a �15m-per-year gas infrastructure framework, ensuring cost control, procurement, and contract administration are managed effectively. This is a hybrid role, allowing you to split your time between site, office, and remote work. You will be working closely with project teams, subcontractors, and the client to ensure financial and contractual success.

Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor:

• Oversee all commercial aspects of the gas framework project.
• Manage cost reporting, valuations, and variations.
• Handle subcontractor procurement and account management.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and risk mitigation.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and final account settlements.
• Liaise with project teams, clients, and stakeholders.

Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor:

• Proven experience working on gas infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of NEC contracts.
• Excellent cost management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Excel, cost management tools).
