Role Title: Senior Principal Project Controller
Location: Bristol- 2 to 3 days per week onsite
Duration: 12 months
Clearance required: SC Cleared
Day Rate: �500 per day via umbrella company
Senior Principal Project Controllers operate as individual contributors who provide support to more senior members of the IDT and PMO. Role holders will be starting to engage and influence IDTs in order to ensure projects are developed and delivered in line with agreed standards, contractual agreements and customer expectations. Individuals work with minimal supervision, solving problems that are complex.
Accountabilities
Typically demonstrating the accountabilities in:
- Medium to Large complexity projects (LCM3 to LCM4)
- Projects with multiple stakeholders
- Projects with medium to high risk
- Leadership, team engagement and development of team through delegation, task management, coaching and mentoring and line management;
- Delivery of Standards, tools and processes of a Project Controls team within a Business Unit;
- Lead on the delivery of the Project Controls function to the teams within a Business Unit, IDTs and other large and complex strategic programmes;
- Responsibility of Service Delivery and performance of project teams within assigned IDTs or programmes and the provision of a Project Controls function;
- Provide coaching and mentoring to other members of the PCP&R and wider Delivery Support function;
- A high level of understanding of project finances and reporting metrics;
- Contribute to the design and improvement of a project support capability and process.

- Reporting of performance to IDT and Controls Manager

Experience & Qualifications
- Educated to a minimum of GCSE level (to included English and Mathematics)
- Competence against the agreed Project Controls Competency Framework at a level of Practitioner or APMP Practitioner Certificate desirable
- Significant experience in setting up and delivering a Project Controls Function within a PMO environment or similar;
- Experience of working in a matrix management organisation;
- Understanding and knowledge of P3M;
- Experience in Stakeholder management across a Business Unit and the wider corporate business;
- Technical/Engineering/Projects background to understand the overall needs of the Business unit
