Job summaryOur consultancy client are seeking a Senior Planner to support their Water sector contractor to help deliver capital schemes in the London and Thames valley Region.Key skills required for this rolePlanning, Primavera p6, Construction, Water, Wastewater, Infra, Non-infraImportantWater industry experience desirableJob descriptionOur consultancy client are seeking a Senior Planner to support their Water sector contractor to help deliver capital schemes in the London and Thames valley Region.As a Project Planner, you will be part of the Capital Delivery Team, working for the Project Planning & Programme Controls Manager to deliver a programme of capital schemes across London and Thames Valley. These are design and build projects working with above and below ground infrastructure on the waste and clean water networks. You will need to be flexible and adaptable as you will be working fairly autonomously on a small portfolio of projects, providing full planning and reporting services.Responsibilities Responsible for programme creation in consultation with the Planning Team, Design Team and site teams.Having created the programme within the Planning Team guidelines and procedures you will; maintain, administer and progress the programme; liaise with estimators, subcontractors, suppliers, site staff and engineers to discuss the progress of the project; understand and identify programme risk and communicate this to the team; provide weekly and monthly reports and attend weekly and monthly meetings.You will be required to collate, analyse and present cost and scheduling data in support of the management and the reporting needs of the project management office.You will need to maintain baseline information and produce variance reports for performance management.You will be liaising with the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor to assess the impact of design or construction changes and schedule slippages and capture approved project changes (through change control) and updating programme baseline and ensure BMS Change Management procedures and processes are adhered to.Skills/experience/qualifications At least 5 preferably 10+ years' experience in construction and/or water infrastructureWater related experience would be an advantage but is not essential.Proficient in Primavera 6 including resource loading and profiling.Knowledge of basic engineering and construction principlesEffective communication skills including writing reports and presenting.Confident in dealing with other staff and clients both face to face and remotely.Experienced enough to work independently and confident enough to hold and chair meetings as needed.Able to produce gang and labour profiles.Prepared attend weekly and or monthly meetings across South London and the Thames Valley as required.BenefitsSalary circa 70k per annumGenerous holiday allowanceCompany pension contributionTravel expense arrangements to be discussed at offer stage - candidate will need to be open to some travel in London/Thames Valley areaRef no.BHN573341LocationLondon, EnglandStart dateASAPJob typePermanentJob statusClosed
