Role: Senior Outage Manager (Water)Employment Type: PermanentLocation: Maidstone, KentContact: Aaron Taylor @RandstadOur client, a major contractor in the water sector, is seeking a Water Supply Planned Outage Manager to lead and oversee the safe and efficient execution of planned site outages. This role is vital in ensuring that installation and commissioning activities are carried out with minimal disruption while maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards.You will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of planned outages at a key water supply site, ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and in accordance with relevant regulations.Responsibilities:Safety Management: Develop and implement safety plans for planned outages, conduct risk assessments, and manage the Permit to Work (PTW) system to ensure all high-risk activities are properly authorised and documented.Operational Control: Coordinate and control site operations during planned outages, ensuring that activities are sequenced and scheduled to minimised risks and disruptions.Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all planned outage operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, conducting regular inspections and audits to address any non-compliance issues.Communication and Coordination: Act as the key point of contact between various stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of safety requirements and operational plans. Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings to ensure all personnel are aware of the risks and safety measures.Competency Management: Monitor the competency of personnel involved in planned outages, ensuring that only qualified individuals perform specific tasks, particularly those involving high-risk activities.Environmental Protection: Ensure that planned outage operations are conducted with minimal environmental impact, particularly in sensitive areas such as water sources and treatment facilities.Requirements:Extensive experience in the water industry, ideally with knowledge of the planned outage management process.Proven ability to manage large teams in a multi-supplier environment.Strong understanding of construction contract law and forms of contract, with relevant experience and formal training.Knowledge of water quality standards and procedures.About the Company:Our client is a leading integrated design and build provider in the water sector, operating across multiple regional centres and long-term frameworks.
