Location: 2 days in Twycross office, 3 days working from home

Rate: £350-£400 per day PAYE

As a DevOps Engineer, you'll be part of the team responsible for the infrastructure and tools that allow our clients' studio to create games that delight their players. Working closely with teams across the studio, you'll be helping them to iterate quickly, to test thoroughly and to ship new features to players sustainably.

They take a cloud first approach, leveraging Azure to scale our build infrastructure to meet the demands of developing services-based games. As part of the Pipeline team, you will be responsible for managing this infrastructure, and ensuring it continues to evolve to support the needs of the business.

As a team, they believe in high quality engineering and champion modern development practices such as continuous delivery, automated testing, and code reviews. They value experimenting and learning from failure and embrace a learn-it-all not know-it-all culture.

They support flexible, hybrid working, but recognise the value of direct interaction and as a studio they encourage developers to spend time in the office. As a new hire, we would expect you to be on-site for at least one day per week.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide a world-class development environment and scalable pipelines that enable teams to develop, test and ship high-quality features quickly and with confidence.
• Maintain and evolve our hybrid cloud infrastructure, providing the studio with a secure, reliable, and cost-effective development platform.
• Provide day-to-day workflow support for developers and artists.
• Work with other teams to solve the complex challenges of delivering services-based games at scale.
• Champion quality in our development process, demonstrating our values and taking an active role in the improvement of engineering.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience of managing continuous integration systems
• Experience with source control systems.
• Knowledge of C# and scripting languages
• Experience of cloud computing, including the use of Infrastructure-As-Code languages
• Experience with machine configuration.
• Experience of providing workflow tools and support
