We are partnered with one of the world's leading Systems Integrator to help recruit a Senior Controls Engineer for their Power division. This role is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, and gives you the opportunity to lead projects and be responsible for overseeing and delivering contracts using their portfolio of control systems, ensuring sustainability for their customers.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Creating and checking functional design specifications.
• Developing and designing control systems solutions.
• Overseeing customer factory and site testing activities.
• Managing technical issues and support on allocated projects.
• Ensuring compliance with technical specifications on allocated project.
• Providing technical input for the pre-sale's activities.
• Partake in internal and external design reviews, providing technical input.

Experience required for the role:

• Control / Automation background.
• A minimum qualification of HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering and/or experience in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Industry

Desired Experience:

• Similar industry experience with medium to large scale SCADA systems, control systems, automation systems and communication infrastructure.
• Circuit diagrams/Wiring diagrams and General Arrangement drawings on control and protection systems.
• Aspiring to lead projects and mentor more junior team members.
