Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Meldreth, near Royston, Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border
Salary: £11.72 - £12.78 per hour (£20,941.63 - £22,834.95 actual salary), based on experience and qualifications
Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term-time only)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our specialist team in providing a highly supportive learning environment for students aged 6 to 19 with a range of additional needs, including moderate and severe learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorders, and complex medical conditions. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students' learning, development, and progress across various contexts, including the classroom, local environment, and community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students with their learning and development across all areas of the curriculum.
  • Assist young people with diverse needs to achieve their educational and personal goals.
  • Foster an inclusive environment that promotes equality, diversity, and respect.
  • Emphasise the support and empowerment of young people.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding values and procedures.
  • Provide high-quality support in all aspects of the role, including potential physical intervention and personal care routines.
  • Collaborate effectively as a team member while also working independently when required.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Educated: At least Level 2 (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
