Their dedicated team is passionate about creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every student can thrive.\n\nPosition Overview:\nWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teaching Assistant to join our team on a 1-year contract basis from September. This contract is 5 days a week term time only.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing personalised support and assistance to our students with special educational needs where you will be supporting children on a 1-1 or 2-1 basis. The students needs range from ASD, MLD, PMLD and Emotional Behaviour.\n\nResponsibilities:\nAssist the classroom teacher in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.\nProvide one-on-one or small group support to students during lessons and activities.\nSupport students with personal care tasks, including toileting, feeding, and mobility, as needed.\nFoster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.\nAssist in the implementation of behavioural interventions and strategies to support positive behaviour management.\nCollaborate with colleagues, parents, and other professionals to support student development and progress.\nMaintain a safe and organised classroom environment, ensuring the well-being and safety of all students.\n\nQualifications:\nPrevious experience working with individuals with special educational needs preferred.\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills.\nPatience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with diverse learning needs.\nAbility to work effectively as part of a team and independently.\nWillingness to undergo relevant training and professional development as required.\n\nBenefits:\nPaid weekly\nProfessional development opportunities.\nSupportive and collaborative work environment.\nOpportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with special educational needs.\n\nApplication Process: To apply for this position, please send your CV today!\n\n\nSugarman Education is committed to Safer Recruitment and currently holds the REC Education Accredited Status.
