The Skills Hub is a co-educational Alternative Provision for pupils in the London Borough of Hillingdon who cannot attend mainstream school for a variety of reasons. It currently offers 50 places to pupils aged 11-16, many of whom have been, or are at risk of, permanent exclusion.
It is an exciting time for The Skills Hub because it moved into a brand new purpose-built site in January 2023 and will expand its intake to 120 pupils aged from 5 to 19. The new Free School will offer extensive facilities including music technology, catering and construction rooms as well as state of the art science labs and sports facilities.
The Role
The post-holder will manage Financial and HR processes acting as a liaison between the College and Academy Business Services and the schools.
Provide support to the Principal and Senior Managers, ensuring continuity is maintained between staff, pupils, Governors, parents, carers, professionals, volunteers and visitors and all stakeholders.
Under the direction of the Director of Finance (Academies) and working with the Management Accountant the post holder will be responsible for managing financial processes in the school and liaising with the shared service finance team.
Under the direction of the HR Director the post holder will be responsible for managing HR processes in the school and liaising with the shared service HR team.
The post holder will actively embrace the Trusts core principles to ensure an inclusive and positive environment for their pupils with learning difficulties and disabilities.

Skills and Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 and above or equivalent qualification in office administration
English and Maths qualifications to at least Grade C or above at GCSE or equivalent
A degree - ideally in accountancy, business management or a related discipline
Strong organisational and secretarial skills with the ability to prioritise workload under minimum supervision
Experience of the management information system Arbor
Successful leadership and management experience in a school, or in a relevant field outside education
Involvement in school self evaluation and improvement planning
Experience of managing other budgets within a school
