We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join our dynamic Humanities Department. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality teaching that engages students in understanding the diverse beliefs, values, and traditions of different faiths and worldviews.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in Religious Education to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Inspire a love of learning and critical thinking about religious and ethical issues.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to ensure each student reaches their full potential.
  • Contribute to the development of the RE curriculum, ensuring it reflects a diverse range of beliefs and contemporary issues.
  • Support the school’s ethos of promoting respect, tolerance, and understanding among students of all backgrounds.
  • Participate actively in the wider school community through involvement in extra-curricular activities and school events.

Candidate Requirements:


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in Religious Education, Theology, or a related subject.
  • Proven experience teaching RE at secondary level, including GCSE and A-Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for engaging students with complex religious and ethical concepts.
  • Commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider school environment.
