Key Features of the Role:
* Location: Derby
* Vehicle: 18-Ton Box Van
* Compensation: £14.50 per hour
* Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Vehicle Inspections:
* Conduct thorough daily inspections of your HGV Class 2 vehicle to ensure it is in a safe and roadworthy condition.
* Promptly report any defects or issues to your supervisor to guarantee timely repairs and maintenance, ensuring the highest levels of safety and reliability.
Loading and Unloading:
* Safely load and unload bins using the tail lift, ensuring that all items are securely fastened and protected during transit.
* Engage in the physical elements of the job, demonstrating strength and agility while handling heavy loads.
Use of Equipment:
* Operate the tail lift and other relevant equipment confidently and safely.
* Ensure the equipment is maintained in good working order, reporting any malfunctions immediately.
Documentation:
* Accurately complete all required paperwork, ensuring that all necessary documentation is collected, signed, and filed correctly upon loading and unloading.
* Maintain records of collection notes and invoices for future reference.
Customer Service:
* Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients and addressing any queries or issues professionally.
* Build positive relationships with customers to enhance satisfaction and loyalty, reflecting well on our client’s reputation.
Health and Safety Compliance:
* Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, including the safe handling and transportation of bins.
* Report any incidents, accidents, or near-misses immediately to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.

* Valid UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points.
