CRE Finance Lawyer
Contract: Permanent/ Full-Time

About the Role:
In the role, you will be a member of the Assets Legal Team providing high-quality commercially focused legal advice to the asset origination team in its management of assets. The role is focused on real estate finance but you will also work on real estate investment projects, as well as asset financing transactions including general finance, structured finance, and capital markets. The role will also provide an opportunity to get involved in regulatory advice and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
To assist with the execution of a wide variety of investment meetings for the business.
To provide efficient high-quality commercial legal advice to the assets team including reviewing and negotiating terms sheets, transaction documentation, real estate due diligence, non-disclosure agreements and dealing with general queries on existing and potential investments.
To manage day-to-day queries on existing assets and offer a high standard of customer service.
Assist in the interpretation of the regulatory rules which apply to insurance companies and the assets in which they invest and ensure company compliance.
Coordinating and instructing external legal counsel in connection with all the above.
Skills & Experience:
Qualified Solicitor or similar qualification.
At least 5 years of relevant PQE experience in a similar role.
Demonstrable real estate finance experience and a strong grasp of security concepts.
Ability to adapt and use common sense to assist with legal work in other practice areas such as banking/general finance and structured finance.
Demonstrable project and transaction management skills.
