Role Overview

As a Social Worker in the Permanence Team, you will:

• Collaborate with a co-located multi-agency team including Greater Manchester Police, Health, Community Safety, Adult Social Care, IDVA, and the Prevention Hub for effective communication and service delivery.
• Respond to contacts made to the MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) promptly, identifying and securing appropriate services to support and safeguard children and families.
• Communicate with families, partner agencies, and the public to gather detailed information, ensuring strong, evidence-based decision-making in line with practice standards and statutory duties.
• Understand statutory social worker functions and make informed threshold decisions confidently.

Requirements

• Registration: Social Work England registered
• Education: Social Work Degree or equivalent
• Background: Enhanced DBS
• Experience: Proven experience in Children's Social Work
