To effectively manage (organise, plan, execute, control and evaluate) all activities of the QC department and advise production department of in process changes to ensure on time and in specification production
THE ROLE:
* Ensures the QC department operates to SHEQ standards.
* Assists with formulation/process improvement for existing products.
* Responsible for updating information on the Sage system
* Liaises with production department and Technical department to solve any technical issues in production
* Day to day management of QC staff and workload and equipment
* Updates the TD on all aspects of QC on a weekly basis
* Ensures samples of products are dispatched correctly and to time
* Carries out QC testing including routine testing and investigation work as required
* Regularly reviews test results to ensure production quality and proposes/implements improvements
* To maintain awareness and keep updated with any changes that would affect the company
* To act as a professional and positive ambassador for the company
* To carry out such duties as may reasonably be required from time to time to meet the evolving needs of the company
QUALIFICATIONS
* Degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience
* Knowledge of quality standards
* Minimum of 3 years experience in laboratory management
THE SALARY AND BENEFITS
* Up to 38k per annum
* Monday to Friday 8:30 – 17:00
