About Us:
Randstad is delighted to partner with the PwP (Practice with Purpose) and Children & Families Assessments Team in Durham to recruit a dedicated and skilled Social Worker.

Job Description:
As a Social Worker within the PwP and C&F Assessments Team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments and working collaboratively to provide targeted support to children and families in need.
Your role will involve managing a caseload, completing assessments, and developing care plans to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake assessments of children and families, identifying risks, strengths, and support needs.
  • Develop and implement care plans to safeguard children and provide family support.
  • Work closely with multi-agency professionals, including health, education, and other social care teams, to deliver coordinated services.
  • Attend and contribute to case conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with statutory requirements.
  • Provide timely interventions that address child protection issues and promote family stability.
  • Engage with children and families to ensure their voices are heard in decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience in working with children and families, particularly in assessments or child protection roles.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation, policies, and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multi-agency teams.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle a complex caseload.
