The below job description will outline this position of: Proposal Specialist
Typically, this person will be competing for projects and contract at levels from national and international levels. This will involve working on large, complex and long-term project with International donors (such as World Bank and United Nations, EU ETC or smaller discrete consultancies)

Duties and responsibilities of the Proposal Specialist: Taking the lead in writing and coordinating company tenders, bids, and proposals. Identifying, monitoring, and sharing public tender opportunities internally. Supporting Project Managers in managing and delivering proposals. Handling registrations on procurement systems and updating company profiles. Developing, managing, and submitting proposals while ensuring compliance with our internal quality assurance management system. Managing MEP Peterson mailboxes for tender opportunities. Coordinating with staff and the MEP Technical Oversight Team during proposal reviews. Collaborating with the Technical Oversight Team to identify strategic opportunities. Assisting the Technical Oversight Team in producing operational reports. Supporting the Office Manager in maintaining and developing proposal databases, such as lead trackers, Smart Sheets, Teamwork, and CV and reference databases. Maintaining relationships with clients and international implementing agencies. Providing assistance with broader operational tasks as required by your line manager. Demonstrable experience of managing multiple priorities, projects and outputs to tight deadlines
Qualifications and requirement for the Proposal Specialist: Qualifications related to marine, fisheries, aquaculture, sustainability, biology, science. Project Management (e.g. CDM) qualifications (would be desirable. Bid / tender courses. Experience with competitive and time sensitive tender/bid/proposal writing. Strong Relationship builder. Need to have a excellent eye for detail for bids / tenders.
