Fresh People are currently looking to recruit Multiple Production Team Leaders to join our client based in North Kent.
About You
Suitable candidates will understand both written / spoken English with excellent communication skills and be able to work on your own and as part of a team. Previous experience of managing 5 people + within a packhouse / warehouse or similar type of environment would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a team of production operatives within a packing facility to ensure assembly, processing and packing are in accordance with company policies, being the first point of contact for the Production Area Supervisors
* Supporting and training packing operatives to achieve maximum capacity within operating lines / locations within the facility
* Carry out machinery start up checks and report any anomalies
* Ensure safe use of our facilities and equipment, while also ensuring safe environment
* Ensure the safety, legality and quality of our products, while ensuring CCP’s are adhered to
* Attend weekly meetings with Supervisor to analyse previous week, identify areas of concern and report preventive measures
* Ensure efficient labour usage to meet business targets
* Liaise daily with Supervisors to achieve set production targets
* Understand and challenge area efficiencies
* Attend taste panels and encourage reporting team to follow
* Set the standards and enforce company policies and procedures
* Deputise in Production Supervisor’s absence
Personal Specification
* The role involves some manual handling
* The role requires you to be alert as you will be working in the vicinity of PPT and moving machinery.
* You will need to be able to work in different temperature-controlled areas where all the appropriate PPE is provided to ensure you are comfortable and able to perform your duties
* The ability to Mentor & Coach your team to perform to specific standards
Due to our location and shift finish own transport is essential
Hours of Work
05:30 to 17:30 hours - Sunday to Wednesday
##### to 05:30 hours – Sunday to Wednesday
05:30 to 17:30 - Wednesday to Saturday
18:30 to 05:30 – Wednesday to Saturday
50p per night shift premium paid for nights
