A great opportunity has arisen for a full time, permanent Production Manager (Operations & Logistics) to join an exciting technology business, based in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, that repairs and distributes hardware for hospital patient services.

Our client’s solutions are used in more than 130 sites across the NHS – patient engagement, WiFi and patient media.
Their services can deliver over £6m in annual savings for a typical 500 bed UK acute hospital, alongside improving patient care and supporting NHS initiatives, such as the Paperless NHS and digital inclusion.    
About The Role
As Production Manager (Operations & Logistics) you will be:
Working in Operations where you’ll primarily be responsible for planning, repairing and delivering good quality repaired stock of client’s patient entertainment products via their own fleet of vehicles.
Working at our client’s Pontefract Repair Centre and liaising closely with the Field team, suppliers and Small Works contractor.
You will work alongside the Office Manager who will provide administration and management support.
About the Core Deliverables as Production Manager (Operations & Logistics):
Planning and organising production and distribution schedules
Overseeing production processes
Plan hardware repairs based on demand and set targets for the bench Technicians to meet
Monitor bench and warehouse workers and associated activities
Offer assistance to those with job related concerns or problems
Selecting, ordering, purchasing materials and components to keep production to maximum
Assessing project and resource requirements
Determining quality control standards
Ensuring that health and safety regulations are met
Create or maintain a layout plan that streamlines the storage and retrieval of goods
Review incoming and outgoing shipments
Re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary and advising key stakeholders
Organising the repair and compliant maintenance of company delivery vehicles
Ensures that products delivered are stored in an organized manner, so that its quality is maintained and accessibility is achieved
Responds to orders efficiently so that products are delivered in a timely and accurate manner
Addresses logistical problems and furnishes solutions to these issues
Meets with other managers to confer about products, shipping times, and distribution issues, among many other concerns
Continuous repair review and trend analysis to predict and solve potential issues
Concise reporting to the business

About your Experience
To be successful for the role of Production Manager (Operations & Logistics) you will need:
Previous experience of running a repair facility desirable
Proficient IT skills especially with Microsoft excel
Previous management experience of running a multi skilled team
People management and development
Technical experience of electronic equipment repairs would be advantageous
About the Hours & Rewards
In the role of Production Manager (Operations & Logistics), you will work 40 hrs a week, 5 out of 7 days – primarily Monday to Friday but could include the occasional weekend or Public Holidays.  There is also occasional travel to other company sites and supplier locations.
For the role of Production Manager (Operations & Logistics), there is on offer:
A salary of £35,000 to £40,000 per annum
33 days including bank holidays
Workplace Pension Scheme
Company Healthcare Scheme - this is paid by the company
