After a period of rapid growth, the business is looking to appoint a Procurement Manager to join the leadership team to build the capability and performance of the procurement function and increase its visibility and value to the business.
As Procurement Manager, your primary mandate will be to drive the procurement team forward and to ensure the stability and longevity of the procurement function, in line with the on-going period of growth.
Reporting directly to the General Manager you will help the business grow and develop, utilising your excellent team management skills and bringing fresh ideas to the table.
As Procurement Manager you will have the opportunity to:
- Coach and develop the procurement team to enhance performance and efficiently utilise ongoing growth opportunities.
- Improve and manage the efficiency of processes, people and systems to help manage fast growth.
- Qualify and develop relationships with new and existing suppliers in a highly specialised market.
- Help the business drive value from their suppliers in ways other than cost.
- Promote the value and benefits of procurement to internal stakeholders.
- Expand your skill set and develop your career.
- Travel internationally to Europe and the US.
Key Skills & Experience required for the role:
- Experience working with specialised manufacturing environments such as electronics, PCBs and clinical machinery.
- Fantastic team management and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of working in a market with a small supplier base.
- Enthusiastic and ready to make your mark.
- The ability to coach and develop your team.
- NPD/NPI experience
