Principal Data & AI ArchitectLocation: Birmingham - Hybrid Employment: Full-TimeThe Opportunity:The UK’s #1 Digital Solutions Provider seeks a visionary Principal Architect to shape the strategic direction of its Data & AI practice and oversee the delivery of enterprise-grade AI deployment, focusing on ethical AI solutions for Government clients.The Role:As a hands-on technical authority, you'll lead a community of over 150 AI and Data specialists, including Data Scientists, ML/Data Engineers, AI/Data Consultants, and Ethicists. Providing thought leadership, you’ll ensure that agile teams are aligned with project goals, navigate technical challenges, and grasp design complexities and principles, covering functional and non-functional aspects.Additionally, you will support the Business Development Director and bid teams in developing and executing BD and presales strategies to maximise customer retention, expand existing accounts, and achieve profitable new business growth.Required Skills/Experience:Data & AI Technologies & Application Development: Deep knowledge of Gen AI, IoT, edge processing, data architectures, serverless computing, and databases, with experience designing, building, and deploying scalable data or AI applications.Cloud Platform & Data Integration: Expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP), including IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS, and proficiency in data integration techniques such as messaging, queuing, and virtualisation.Customer-Centric & Strategic Communication: Ability to prioritise customer needs and incorporate non-functional requirements while managing multiple projects, with strong communication skills for engaging with C-level stakeholders.Commercial & Public Sector Expert: Strong commercial insight and a thorough understanding of the public sector, including central government agendas and digital transformation, with a proven record in customer retention and business growth.Capability Leadership & Team Development: Expertise leading and nurturing technical teams, setting objectives, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews while promoting a high-performing, inclusive and innovative team culture.Business Development & Presales Strategy: Experience collaborating with BD Directors and bid teams to develop and execute business development and presales strategies to maximise customer retention, expand existing accounts, and achieve profitable new business growth.Benefits Package: Base Salary: Up to £160,000 (DoE)Annual Bonus: 15% Healthcare: Bupa Family Medical Cover Annual Leave: 35 Days Holiday - Includes Public Holidays + buy/sell up to 10 DaysWorking Model: Remote First - Flexible to travel if required max of 2 days per weekL&D: Excellent training & career development - salary review every 12 monthsPension: 5% matched + group personal pension planCompany Share PlanFor more information, please apply below or contact me directly.Contact: 02077806706Email: ##### Principal Data & AI Architect
