People Administrator/ HR Administrator
Locations: Richmond, London
Salary: £26,000- £30,000
Job type: 6 Month, Fixed term contract
Hours: 5 days a week with a 4pm finish on Fridays

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team in #####, which will be their busiest year yet! The company is growing and looking for a People Administrator with good communication, written skills and an aptitude to learn new tasks. The people Administrator will play a key role in the full HR lifecycle, from recruitment administration and setting up interviews, preparing a range of employment documentation, handling a range of queries from staff/prospective candidates either by phone or email, proactively ensuring that the HR and payroll database is always kept up to date. The People Administrator is expected to take an active role in the People Team, providing the opportunity to learn about all aspects of Human Resources.
People Administrator Responsibilities:
* Assist the People Advisor with the on-boarding process (preparing contracts, uploading new starters on our Workday system);
* Ensure that the People Team undertakes all necessary employment checks including right to work, qualifications and references;
* Arrange induction meetings with new employees and workers and liaise with Line Manager’s
* Assist in managing the probation process;
* Work with the People Advisor, responsible for processing of monthly payroll and ensuring accurate and timely completion;
* Monitor the People Teams inbox, updating the system and creating reports for the team where required;
* Assistant with absence management;
* Assist with the annual performance and development review cycle, record completed appraisals and training needs;
* Ensure the HR database accurately reflects current staff conditions and detail;
* Provide appropriate reports from the HR database for the purpose of auditing and monitoring employee data and training;
* Provide day-to-day advice to line managers and employees on general People related queries, requests and policies and processes, escalating more complex issues to the People Advisor;
* Assist in formal meetings, such as employee disciplinaries and grievances, undertaking such tasks as may be required by the People Team;
* Assist with the offboarding process;
* Respond to reference requests for current or ex-employees;
* Assist in ensuring the recruitment report is accurate and aligned to all vacancies;
* Assist the People Advisor with updating the Management Information Dashboard;
* Provide regular and ad-hoc reports to the Head of People and the business.
Experience & Qualifications:
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Good IT skills, including knowledge of a range of software packages
* The capacity to prioritise tasks
