Payroll Administrator required for a manufacturing company with great offices based in Sunbury. Excellent benefits including 9% company pension, Private Healthcare plan, 24 days holiday, increasing with service, Free breakfast, Flexi-time.
Job Purpose
* To manage the monthly payroll, pay employees by supplying data to our external payroll company, check and pay expenses, issue pay-related information, and general accounts administration.
* To assist with the implementation of a new Payroll Software to be administered internally and manage the system going forward.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
Payroll:
* Responsible for accurate and timely input of Payroll data for the external payroll company to process including sick pay, overtime, bonuses, new starters, leavers, promotions, holiday pay, bank details and contractual amendments.
* Advise payroll company of the need to pay Statutory Sick Pay, Statutory Maternity Pay and Statutory Paternity Pay schemes.
* Process employee expenses and cash floats in multiple currencies to be paid via the payroll.
* Ensure timely payments of NI and PAYE.
* Work closely with the HR team to ensure accurate information and complete payroll reconciliation.
* Review relevant HMRC forms including P11d, P60, P45 and P46 processed by the payroll company and provide the information needed to produce these forms.
* Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, sickness, overtime and expenses using schedules prepared by the payroll company.
* Deal with internal and external payroll queries in a timely manner.
* Investigate and resolve individual staff payroll queries or discrepancies.
* Ensure timely and accurate submission of Auto Enrolment pension data to pension providers and maintain the relevant schedules.
* Manage salary sacrifice schemes admin.
* Reconcile relevant control accounts and resolve differences.
* Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
* Ensure that payroll procedures comply with GDPR.
General Accounting Tasks
* Prepare summaries of monthly salary costs analysed by Project Code and post journals.
* Assist with data inputting to the accounting system and invoice processing where required.
* Assist financial controller with the departmental admin.
* Attend relevant training identified to ensure duties are performed efficiently.
