A great opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager to join an established and successful leading manufacturing business in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Reporting into the Technical & Operations Director this is a permanent position offering competitive salary and excellent benefits.
As the Operations Manager you will be responsible for:
Ensuring all operations within your areas of responsibility are carried out in an appropriate, cost-effective way
Improving operational management systems, processes and best practices for the production and engineering functions and assist in the management of budgets and forecasts
Helping the Company's processes and operations to remain legally compliant to all recognised Health & Safety; Environmental and Food safety standards
Assist in the purchasing of materials, planning of inventory and overseeing of all department efficiencies and deliverables
Assist in the formulation of strategic and operational plans and objectives
Examine financial data, using this data to improve profitability for the areas to which you are responsible
Perform quality controls, monitor and ensure delivery of all KPIs within your departments and teams
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as an Operations Manager ideally from working in an FMCG environment, ideally within the food sector. You should be a qualified Engineer who has progressed into a leadership role and has excellent leadership skills. Ideally you should be familiar with business and financial principles within a Production and Engineering facility and have experience of effective budgeting, planning and forecasting.
