Workshop Mechanical Assembly Fitter
Term: 6-month contract
Location: Leeds / York / Wetherby
Rate: £18.00 - £20.00p/h Gross.
Limited Co (Outside IR35) or Umbrella

I am working with a world class special purpose machinery manufacturer, who are in the market for Mechanical Assembly Fitters, to work on machine builds in their state-of-the-art workshop. They operate in high end technology industries, including green energy, medical and pharmaceutical. Due to a project influx, they are looking for skilled Assembly Fitters on a 6-month contract.
For the position of Mechanical Assembly Fitter, you will require to conduct the following duties:
v Assemble and fit all aspects mechanically to specification
v Ability to read engineering drawings to tight tolerances
v Working on special purpose machinery, automation, and robotics for medical and green energy projects
v Meet project and production deadlines
v Working with small parts of specific equipment and components
v Problem solver, and report any snagging issues to Management regarding builds
v Work to company Quality, & HSE procedures
For the position of Mechanical Assembly Fitter, the successful person will need to have the following attributes:
v Mechanical Assembly fitter / machine build experience working to tight tolerances
v High level of workshop bench fitting skills and experience
v A strong team player
v Experience within automation and special purpose machinery ideally or similar
v Strong communication skills, with a keen eye for Health, Safety and Quality
v You will ideally be apprentice trained/NVQ L3 within mechanical engineering of fitting
v Your own mechanical bench fitting tools
